ORIGINAL VERSION

The Holy Roller Trash Inc. were a Ray side project that recorded their one-off album “The Butcher’s Blue Yodel” on two days in March, 1993.

All tracks were recorded live (yep, no vocal overdubs!) with occasional distorted slide guitars and noises added for more rawness!

Song selection’s a cross-section of some perennial favorites: Hank Davis’ “One Way Track” (Turns out some weird slow blues rock), Lee Hazlewood’s cryptic lyricisms “Poet, Fool or Bum”, Hoyt Axton’s “Double Dare” & “Thunder & Lightning”, Bo Diddley’s “Gunslinger”, Wanda Jackson’s “Fujiyama Mama” are given a unique – what?! – Punk-Blues / Blues-Punk reading here.

Then there’s the HR’s Wolf Rip-Off “Love’s Like Quicksand” and more…
